Bank Holiday Waterford
As I write there are approximately thirty hours remaining in this October Bank Holiday weekend. That’s plenty of time to overdose on the poison of your choice, and start off November with a fresh dose of facebook checkins and seriously bad selfies. There’s so much still to do in Waterford this weekend! Here’s my top 5 ways to spend the rest of your bank holiday, your bank account and your slowly fading youth.

  1. Techno Techno Techno

Bank Holiday Waterford
You’re not hard core unless you live hard core. It’s go hard or go home tonight at Factory where Republik present Ben Klock, German Techno artist, DJ and record label owner with a serious rep on the decks. Tickets online are selling out fast, but there will be a limited number available on the door!Doors 10pm

  1. Having Hallowe’en on Wednesday is no fun

Bank Holiday Waterford
So say Tullys bar, O’ Connell street anyway. In order to rectify this abominable calendar mishap, Tullys are bringing Hallwoeen to you tonight with live music from Crome Yellow and the Slut Club. Pints, costume and psyhcedelia all on the menu!See more here

  1. Imagine Festival Vintners Trail

Bank Holiday Waterford
The Imagine Festival has been running all week, bringing music, art and even an apocalyptic blaa fight to Waterford. Tonight it closes with the Hallowe’en Vintners Trail. Baya the Storyteller will be visiting Jordan’s Bar this evening for a Samhain themed story of Innana’s Descent. Later she will move to Phil Grimes Bar, to weave the story of the “Silver Hands”. Both of these festive folklore themes events are FREE as part of Waterford Imagine Arts Festival. Make the most of it while you can!See full details here

  1. Hallowe’en at the Haven

Bank Holiday Waterford
The Haven Hotel Dunmore East has been hosting a Country Music Festival all this weekend, and is currently putting away the cowboy boots and bales of hay for a spookier Sunday night setting. The Haven Hotel Monster Mash Fancy dress Hallowe’en ball begins tonight at 10pm, giving adults a chance to dress up and take part in the fancy dress festivities. Spot prizes for best costumes!Find out more here

  1. Open Mic at Central Arts

Bank Holiday Waterford
Moving from Sunday funday into moody Monday, Central Arts is bringing a great antidote for sore heads tomorrow with the spooktacular edition of their Open Mic night. This is Waterford’s longest running open mic night with variety performances from musicians, dancers, poets, actors, anyone who wants to share their talent really. For just €3 you’ll get a cosy evening of entertainment right in Central Hall, 123A, Parade Quay. Its also BYOB for you know, hair of the dog and all..See details here
