18 Year Old Waterford Lad Takes On Trip Of A Life Time By Cycling From Ireland 2 Asia

Would you fancy cycling from Ireland 2 Asia?  Well one Waterford lad has decided to do just that.  18 year old Sean Hoban just finished his leaving cert this year but all along he had a plan and that plan was to cycle to Asia.
As Sean says, “I have just finished school and  I have a whole year before college to see the world and I have decided to see it by bike. I have always been adventurous, I love to see new places and in the past this thirst for adventure was quenched through scouting. Now as an adult its time to get out on my own”.

Sean told us that on his Ireland 2 Asia trip he will adhere to a strict budget and so he will be cooking and camping as much as possible.  “My main goal is to get as far as I can for as little as I can and to see as much of the world as I can” continued Sean.

“I funded the trip through savings I made with my part time job and various donations”.

The journey will take Sean from France, Germany, Austria.Hungary,Serbia, Bulgaria,Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and on to Kyrgyzstan.  A trip that’s around 8 thousand miles.  Sean doesn’t yet know his final destination but said that he will make up his mind along the way.
