RECORD BREAKING SUBMISSIONS
The 2019 Submission Season for the 13th Waterford Film Festival closed recently. This year’s submission period has been an amazing success and for the 2nd year in a row the festival has had a record breaking amount of entries.
Hundreds of films & scripts have come in from over 30 countries from across the world!
The full list of countries are as follows: Ireland, UK, USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Malta, Russia, Austria,Poland, Croatia,United Arab Emirates, Mexico, Brazil,Belgium, India, Indonesia,Iran,Japan, Nepal, Netherlands, Switzerland,Turkey, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
The festival team are currently reviewing all projects. It is fantastic for us to see so many different themes from filmmakers & writers with different backgrounds & cultures.
A diverse mix of projects have come to our doors, from debut filmmakers/writers,
Every year it is beyond difficult to decide which projects get selected and this year is no exception as we have an immense body of work and talent to choose from.
The festival team would like to thank everyone who entered and we truly wish them the best of luck with their projects.
Final decisions will be announced by October 10th and a full programme of events will be online around mid October.
